Safari Invest Limited is a boutique advisory to investors in the safari industry in Africa.  Established by James Arnott and Henry Hallward, the company advises safari property shareholders, potential investors and stakeholders on acquisitions, disposals, mergers and management.

Bringing a blend of real estate development, management and sales experience with a deep understanding of the safari industry across Africa, James and Henry combine over 50 years of operating experience in the property and safari sectors.

James Arnott:

James Arnott attended Michaelhouse in the Kwazulu Natal Midlands and subseqeuntly went on to study a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Kwazulu Natal, where he graduated in 1989, majoring in business administration, finance and information systems.

James' original career revolved around FMCG marketing management, working with corporates such as Unilever and Robertsons Spices, based in Durban. He moved into property full time in 2003 and has subsequently been involved with a number of reputable development and construction businesses in ownership and various roles and has completed a number of successful property developments in South Africa.

Henry Hallward:

Henry, born in Zimbabwe, graduated from Sandhurst in 1980 and following a Short Service Commission in the British Army, a stint at Christies and he drove the length of Africa with his wife working for Care For The Wild International managing all of their conservation projects in Africa in 1991.

Moving from conservation into the to the wildlife tourism sector in 1993 Henry was part of a team that created the largest tourism operator in Zambia operating 8 safari lodges and camps and an air charter business with 4 aircraft, operating safaris in Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Zambia. 

Returning to the UK in 1998 Henry served as a Board Director of ATTA (African Travel & Tourism Association), the main regulatory body for "safari tourism", retiring as Chairman in 2010. In 2002 Henry co-founded Travel Trade Only Limited, specialising in the mergers and acquisitions of travel, technology and tourism businesses in the United States, United Kingdom and Africa.  In 2008 he co-founded The Safari Guild, operators of The Safari Awards - the 'oscars' of the safari industry.  

In 2018 Henry co-founded Safari Invest with James Arnott to specialise in providing advisory services in the fast growing 'safari tourism sector'.
